Row on 45, the highly anticipated high-end gourmet restaurant concept spearheaded by celebrity chef Jason Atherton, is set to take the culinary world by storm. Perched on the top level of City Social House at the prestigious Grosvenor House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Dubai, Row on 45 promises an extraordinary fine dining experience that combines exceptional flavours, meticulously created with exacting attention to detail and breathtaking views of Dubai’s iconic skyline.
Row on 45 derives its name from a carefully chosen combination of words, symbolising the essence of the venue. “ROW” stands for “Refinement of Work,” reflecting the dedication to crafting the entire concept. Additionally, it pays homage to its sister concept opening on London’s esteemed Savile Row. “45” signifies the venue’s remarkable location, offering panoramic views and an
elevated experience.

Row on 45 aims to give you a bespoke experience. So much so, the menu will have the guest’s name and date, and be sealed with wax in an envelope. The food is a celebration of Jason’s career and travels, and existing dishes he has created have been reworked. With an emphasis on personalised service and an elevated residential-style interior concept, Row on 45 aims to provide an unforgettable dining experience for the most discerning diners.
The concept of Row on 45 was born out of Jason Atherton’s vision for a luxury penthouse apartment in London where he could welcome guests into his home and cook for them. Collaborating with LW Design, Atherton, and Grosvenor House Dubai granted complete creative freedom to create an upscale residentialinspired restaurant concept. The result is a space that exudes refinement, warmth, and eclectic beauty.
Designed to resonate with a sense of accomplishment, Row on 45 embraces the very essence of refinement and elegance. The restaurant’s concept revolves around the idea of a celebrated old friend’s home, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that delights and comforts guests. Every aspect of the design exudes sophistication, from the classic wall panelling and timber corniches to the
intricately crafted architraves and detailed profiles reminiscent of a distinguished private residence.
Upon arriving at Row on 45, you are greeted by a stunning foyer adorned with a leather and brass-clad welcome desk, complemented by solid parquet flooring and a lush fur wallcovering backdrop. A leather reading chair nestled in front of a built-in bookcase completes the inviting entrance. The culinary journey begins in the Champagne Lounge, offering breathtaking views of Palm Jumeirah. You are treated to an aperitif and welcomed by the resident sommelier in a room featuring a residential-style bar boasting the finest collection of champagne. Poltrona Frau wing chairs in emerald leather provide a comfortable setting to savour the view and indulge in the introductory courses, whilst satiricalartworks add a touch of humour.
Moving through a corridor, you are led to the theatre-style Dining Room, where a live stage awaits, showcasing Jason Atherton’s culinary artistry in a state-of-theart residential show kitchen. Seated at the chef’s table, you will witness each course being diligently prepared and presented as a work of art, engaging all the senses. Swivel armchairs with whimsical fringe details allow you to enjoy the
kitchen spectacle and the stunning Dubai Marina view whilst relishing a tailored dining experience.
The final room, the Chef’s Library, is the pièce de résistance. As you journey through the private wine cellar, a solid marble mantlepiece comes into view, framing the magnificent scenery beyond. Surrounded by vintage furniture, faultless joinery, bookcases and the same fur textile wallcovering as the entrance, the library provides the perfect setting to enjoy the last course.
The execution of Row on 45 encompasses 733 square meters of space, accommodating only 22 covers to ensure an intimate and extraordinary dinner experience. The sequence of events throughout the evening takes you on a captivating journey through the various meticulously designed spaces of Level 45.
No detail has been spared in the creation of Row on 45. The venue exudes a sense of timeless elegance from bespoke timber, marble, leather, and metal
finishes executed with an authentic classical touch.
The allure of Row on 45 extends beyond its exquisite design and culinary excellence. Plans are underway to expand the concept to London, with a sister restaurant set to open on the iconic Savile Row, solidifying its position as a true culinary destination.
