The multi-award-winning Wellness Destination, Preidlhof in South Tyrol, Italy, renowned for its whole-person centred approach to well-being, proudly presents its new signature cosmetic line. With skin the ultimate litmus test for our inner state of “well-being”, the new skincare line is the culmination of many years of study and research: an innovative, natural, and environmentally friendly vegan line created by an all-female team of friends and professionals who share the same values and commitment to clean, sustainable beauty.
The new skincare products are both ultra-effective and sensorial, formulas with a high concentration of botanical and biotechnological active ingredients that respect the environment and biodiversity. The new Skincare products will feature in a new 2023 facial treatment at Preidlhof and also be available for purchase in the Spa, on the website, and at other select retailers.
The skincare Line embraces the wellness concept devised for Preidlhof by leading Spa Designer and Transformational Wellness Coach, Patrizia Bortolin. Inspired also by her own needs, Bortolin created the products working in close collaboration with Francesca Di Lenardo, Friulian, owner of Insium and one of the most beautiful names in Italian and European clean cosmetics; and Monia Segato, a marketing expert in the world of niche cosmetics who was also involved in the testing and choices.
“In creating this line for Preidlhof, I wanted to also be able to apply it to my own skin as this is my weak point, it requires a lot of attention to remain beautiful. It could only be a clean and vegan line, one that is essential, versatile, and effective. Also, pleasurable. It is characterized by a strong Mediterranean note, the same that you breathe here on the 46th parallel where Preidlhof is located, and like the Resort, it promises a balance between hedonic and eudemonic well-being, pleasure and value, lightness and commitment.” Explains Bortolin.

Preidlhof’s new skincare line helps to improve the external appearance of the epidermis while working deeper down to improve the skin’s overall health and to promote relaxation of body and mind. The line consists of 8 synergistic and performing face products: a cleansing milk and oil, a moisturizing cream and serum, an illuminating mask, a powerful multivitamin serum with vitamin C, an illuminating oil, and a versatile nourishing butter; and lastly, a convenient and effective moisturizing spray essence to be used in many ways and on multiple occasions. Some products, such as those for cleansing, are fragrance-free, while others have a light essence with a vintage touch that has a pleasant effect on mood and the desire for slow, evocative rituals.
The holistic, green and sustainable soul of Preidlhof is enhanced in the cosmetic line thanks to the power of nature: “Our goal in creating this new line was not only to create effective skin care, but to draw on the essence of what nature can offer while respecting the environment”. Says Francesca di Lenardo.

The ingredients are entirely of vegetable or biotechnological origin. The products don’t contain toxic chemical ingredients and the manufacturing processes are eco-sustainable.”
The products were extensively tested by Preidlhof’s multigenerational wellness team up to the final decisions and also evaluated to meet the needs of the market: “We tried many versions of the products until we arrived at the best embodying Preidlhof while also considering industry trends and the desires of consumers who are more attentive to sustainability and performance but don’t want to lose sensoriality.” Explains Monia Segato.
The research for the creation of this new line is based on the technology of Stimulation of Plant Stem Cells together with a mix of Italian fruits with a Mediterranean flavour. Functional ingredients include stem cells of chilli pepper, prickly pear seed extract and edelweiss. A mix of fruits was added to the stem cells, the raw materials selected from those produced in specialized areas in Italy to guarantee the highest quality of basic ingredients: organic grape skins from Emilia, Sicilian lemon, apples from Trentino and organic wheat bran from the Po Valley.
Plant stem cells are undifferentiated cells that represent the source of plant vitality since they provide the material for the growth and renewal of all the tissues of the plant itself. Plant Stem Cell Stimulation Technology is an innovative process that pushes the meristematic cells of the plant to overproduce bioactive compounds to further increase their effectiveness. According to the latest research, stem cells are an ideal source of molecules, they can be grown on a large scale and, thanks to appropriate induced stimulation, they can produce more complete and concentrated phytocomplexes.
“I have also designed a facial treatment specifically for this new line,” says Bortolin. “It’s called Slow Facial and is dedicated to those who love clean cosmetics, mindfulness and think, like me, that a facial treatment can also be more relaxing than a massage. The training is very original because our beauty needs to convey values and attitudes in the application – not just resulting in luminous, renewed and cared for skin, but in a more radiant face and greater self-awareness as is The Preidlhof Way.”
