- SPEAKEASY PIANO BAR LAUNCHES IN THE HEART OF PICCADILLY
- EXCLUSIVE NEW VENUE CURATED FOR LONDONERS AND PRIVATE PARTIES
Independent hotel The Dilly, has introduced Downstairs at The Dilly – an intimate speakeasy piano bar literally ‘downstairs’ from the hotel’s lobby, offering an extensive collection of curated cocktails with a London theme, plus a varied musical programme of pianists and acoustic singers to soundtrack an evening, post work or post play.
Located in the heart of the West End, Downstairs at The Dilly is the perfect meeting spot for friends and colleagues – set to revive the post work unwind, the beginning of an evening in London’s West End, the post theatre de-brief and nightcap, plus everything in between.
Guests will enter the stylish candlelit Downstairs at The Dilly via a hidden door accessible from The Dilly’s newly renovated lobby, and discover a stylish, live music cocktail bar where both house and guest pianists – playing a bespoke Baby Grand piano – will be accompanied by a series of guest singers.
Guests can expect London inspired cocktails with locally sourced ingredients including ‘Gimlet at The Dilly’ – made with Portobello Road Gin, an original recipe promoted and drunk by British sailors back in the 19th Century. World-class classics old and new are also served such as the ‘Vesper Martini’ made with Chapel Down Pinot Noir Gin, Chapel Down Vodka and Lillet Blanc. A range of wine, spirits, liquor and a selection of London sourced beers will be on offer, as well as a new guest cocktail and mocktail each month.
General Manager, James Olivier comments on the new venture, “As live music is becoming increasingly popular, Downstairs at The Dilly is the piano bar London has been waiting for. Enjoy comfort and style by candlelight while listening to soothing music and soulful singing – we are looking forward to supporting the revival of the post work unwind, the post theatre debrief and nightcap, plus everything in between.”
